Baby cat pictures. This is my cat Piper when she was a wee kitty. I was farting around on the computer and made that stupid MS Paint picture frame because this is what her weird little face said to me when I saw her at the Cat Rescue.
 

This is what I mean when I say that I have A LOT (too much!) squash growing in my garden every half-week. On top of this, I gave four large ones to my neighbor. The ground at the garden glows at night from the radioactivity! I swear. 

Pictures - Garden Update Three! - Squash Run Amuck!

I took pictures of my garden on last Sunday.


If you remember, this is my squash a week ago.


Then, I went to see how things were going on Wednesday. The squash plants had literally doubled in size in three days! I shit you not. I was ecstatic to pick my first two squash last Sunday.


Squash do not fool around in the wild.

I picked 8 big squash YESTERDAY, which was Satuday. I didn't know what the hell I was going to do with this many squash. I went back today, Sunday, and there 5 more full-size squash. Oh my God.


Fifty fingers of squash in every pie!

I've got squash coming out of my ears and the plants are just starting to mature. I made a big casserole tonight, but I don't think I can't eat a whole casserole a week! And, I still have 5 squash left over!

And, do not, I repeat, DO NOT get too close to the broccoli. I might eat YOU!

Pictures - Hiking - Port Hudson State Historic Site

I went hiking again today. I still have to put up pictures from last week's hike to Clark Creek Natural Area, but I like these pictures today. I went to Port Hudson State Historic Site, which is along the same highway as last week, but only about half as far a drive. I wanted to check it out because it touted 6 miles of hiking trails. I spent about 3 hours hiking today. It was great!



The place is an old civil war site.

One thing I am always disappointed in is that I see little if any actual wildlife when I've been hiking. So, I take pictures of what I do see.



Spiders out in the deep woods do not fool around. They don't construct measly little webs that insects will just fly into. They cover all bases, and will eat anything that flies, drops, walks, or gallops into its web.

I sat down for a bit to have some water. Everywhere around me I could literally hear the chomping of caterpillars. I caught one starting to build a caccoon.

And, it isn't too hot out, yet.



Some of the only color I saw besides brown and green. I thought I should capture it.



I picked up a little friend along the way on my shorts. I called him "Wormy." I am not very inventive when it comes to naming things.



And here I remembered the 4th Wonder of the Camera World which is the self-timer.
