We went to New Orleans to watch some parades the Monday before Mardi Gras (TUES) and saw the Orpheus parade.

*sigh* Mardi Gras has been on my list of "Things to Do Before I Die" since I was like... 16. I hear different things from different people. Some say it's fun--if insane and insanely crowded... others say it's way, way overrated.
Please tell me it's not. ...way, way overrated that is. :(

we are so jealous. it is 29 degrees hear in reno right now with not a float in sight. but the house is going up for sale and we'll be back in the easy by jazzfest, dogs willing. great pics by the way.
